The new project will be an Outpatient Surgical Center for the community of Myanzi. It will be a two-story building and will involve learning new skills required for such a structure (see drawings below for details).
Future plans include continued work on the three phases of the Outpatient Surgical Facility as it is a 3-year project and we have just finished Phase 1 to slab on grade.
Phase 2 will involve constructing the superstructure walls to include the beams and 1st-floor slab and the ramp plus stairs.
Phase 3 will include finishing the interior of the structure and passing all the necessary requirements to operate as an outpatient surgical facility.
During this project, we are committed to developing stronger relationships with the local community and the church, including the diocese.
We are also committed to developing relationships with the medical and nursing schools at Uganda Christian University in order to pave the way for future placements and internships for their students.
Because the Clinic will be visible from the main road from Kampala to western Uganda, we will develop a way to alert travelers that the Clinic is being built and will be offering services to the community in the future.
